Job summary

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on Outside IR35/Umbrella contract basis in Solihull. You will perform vehicle re-works, mechanical assembly, component replacement, and servicing to manufacturer standards on high-profile projects.

You should have NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and a UK Category B driving licence. Own tools are required. Weekly pay and competitive rates apply across shifts.

• Full UK Category B driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle re-works and mechanical assembly including parts, interior trim, panels, gearboxes, engines and suspensions.
• Diagnose and replace damaged components efficiently.
• Perform light modifications and servicing to original vehicle builds.
• Accurately log repairs and work times to manufacturer standards.

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on high-profile vehicle manufacturing and supply chain projects in Solihull. We are looking for versatile, all-round mechanics capable of adapting to a full range of vehicle re-works, mechanical repairs, and component replacements to strict manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Re-works & Mechanical Assembly: Fit and strip mechanical and body parts, including interior trim, exterior panels, gearboxes, engines, and suspensions.
• Component Replacement: Diagnose, access, and replace damaged or defective components efficiently.
• Modifications & Servicing: Complete light mechanical work, adjustments, and modifications to original vehicle builds.
• Data & Time Tracking: Accurately log all completed repairs manually or on digital data systems, recording attendance and work times to manufacturer standards.

Location & Commute

Situated conveniently in Solihull, with direct access via the M42, A45, and A34.

• Local Commuters: Easily accessible from Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Redditch, Shirley, Tamworth, and the wider West Midlands.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Valid proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Driving Licence: Full Category B UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Tools: Must have your own range of mechanical hand tools.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience working on modern light motor vehicles within an automotive environment.
