The role offers flexible hours and extensive leave, with overtime paid at time and a half. Starting salaries range £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience, with potential performance bonuses up to £9,000 every three years.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists to complete procedures.
• Complete all documentation to required standard.

Essential Skills

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry
• The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team

Day-to-day duties

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards
