Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking a Vehicle Preparation Technician in Birmingham to ensure vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before delivery. You will work in a fast-paced, professional workshop with a consistent workload and career progression opportunities.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, 2 years' experience in a related role, and be prepared to own their tools. A full UK driving licence is required, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential.
• 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Prep Technician, Mechanic or MOT Tester is required.
• MOT Tester (Class 4) Licence advantageous but not essential.
• Must own your own tools and toolbox.
• A positive team player with excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and general vehicle maintenance.
• Complete vehicle preparation work to dealership standards.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work where required.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and safety guidelines.
• Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation.
• Work collaboratively to maintain workshop productivity and quality.

The Role
