Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited in London is seeking a Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer with a mechanical/plumbing bias for a 3 month contract covering Camden area. The role focuses on PPM, reactive maintenance, fault diagnostics and small installations across educational, community and corporate buildings, with mentoring of a plumbing apprentice.

You'll hold an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds and have extensive commercial plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience, plus CAFM, water hygiene,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in plumbing / mechanical / building services

Responsibilities

• Execute planned preventative maintenance and address reactive repairs on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in commercial plumbing, heating and mechanical plant systems.
• Maintain components: pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, calorifiers, booster sets, valves and associated plant.
• Oversee domestic hot and cold water services.
• Service TMVs and conduct water hygiene and Legionella control activities.
• Conduct minor installation and remedial works.
• Update job records and completion details using CAFM systems and mobile devices.
• Perform dynamic risk assessments and follow permit-to-work procedures.
• Mentor a plumbing apprentice.
