Job summary

Mayfield School in Torquay is seeking a dedicated Mealtime Assistant to join our team. The role is 7.5 hours per week during term time, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, providing support during lunch.

You will help pupils and teachers, escort pupils to classes and playground areas, and contribute to a calm, safe lunchtime routine. Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs advantageous.

Job description

We are looking for a candidate who is keen, motivated and able to work as part of a team to join us as a Mealtime Assistant.

The role is for 1 and half hours a day, 7.5 hours a week, term time only. 11.30 am to 1.00 pm.

The actual salary for this working pattern is £4,465.84

You will provide support to pupils and teachers over the lunch-time period, escorting pupils to their class/playground areas. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and or working with children who demonstrate challenging behaviour, is highly desirable., but not essential.
