Job summary

TekWissen Group is recruiting for an ME Industrial Engineer to support suppliers from our Filton, Bristol operations on a 5-month hybrid contract. The role focuses on industrialisation, new product introduction, and transfer of work across the A320/A321 family and related programs, with potential travel to supplier sites.

You will analyse supplier capability, lead industrial reviews, and drive manufacturing improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, working 35 hours per week

Qualifications

• Technical background in manufacturing engineering with a manufacturing background.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods and the ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture with focus on manufacturability.
• Good understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning with machineability in mind.
• Working knowledge of CATIA.
• Aerospace experience preferable.
• Degree level in Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyse Industrial Capability of Potential supplier.
• Contribute to the Transfer of Work project team within our supplier network.
• Organise industrial kick off meeting with the supplier.
• Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination Handover.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis of Technical Abnormalities with Procurement Operations to determine if the issue is caused by manufacturing capability.
• Contribute to design to manufacture for industrialisation (manufacturing capability) during Design Reviews.

Job Title: ME Industrial Engineering for Supplier Support

Location:

Filton, Bristol
Contract: 5 Months (with a possible extension)

Work Type: Hybrid

Shift timings: 35 hours per week, normally across 4.5 days, within a 7:00 AM 7:00 PM working window. Exact hours are subject to business agreement.

Job Description:

• Industrial System Support for Suppliers (OMS department) ensures the industrialisation of our suppliers to the expected performance targets for all Programs SA, A220, LR, A350, A400M.


• The ME Industrial Systems for Suppliers Industrial Leader will work with our team in Filton near Bristol.


• This is an exciting opportunity to support our supplier network. You may be required to travel to suppliers globally.


• As the jobholder you will be working to provide technical Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support to suppliers across serial programmes as well as for the next A/C generation.


• You will manage New product Introduction, Transfer of Work and you will be a development industrial leader focused across the Single Aisle aircraft family (A320/A321) but may include support to all programmes.


• Is responsible to Develop Industrial Capability and lead industrialisation of Aerostructure & Detail Parts Supply Chain, securing Industrial Performance, driving Industrial Improvements & Innovation of our Suppliers.


• You will coordinate activities within your perimeter and cascade information to key stakeholders both internally and externally via established reporting means.


• Works on non-quality in client Aerostructure & Detail Parts Supply Chain


• Drives process improvement, technology dissemination & industrial innovation projects at suppliers.


• For Aerostructure & Detail Parts suppliers: Use manufacturing expertise to improve quality and support the capability of our suppliers


• Act as manufacturing Industrial Authority for development projects with a focus on codesign philosophy
