Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to drive MBSE adoption within a UK defence engineering context. You will shape systems thinking across the engineering function from concept through in-service support.

The role involves establishing MBSE practices, coaching engineers, and ensuring requirements are managed with traceability across the product lifecycle. Hybrid working in Kidderminster offers a strong, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in complex engineering or product development environments.
• Solid understanding of requirements management, interfaces, verification and validation, trade studies and the SBSE V-Model.
• Experience using ALM or requirements tools such as IBM DOORS, CodeBeamer, Polarion or Jama Connect.

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed MBSE methodology using INCOSE, NASA SE Handbook, and ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 & 29148.
• Own and configure the requirements management and ALM environment with robust traceability.
• Develop scalable digital engineering processes for deployment across programmes.
