Qualifications

• An academic or clinical academic with enthusiasm for undergraduate medical education.
• Experience of teaching, supervision, assessment or academic support in healthcare professional education.
• Strong understanding of academic writing, literature review, evidence appraisal and self-directed learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership for SSC1 within the MBBS SSC Programme.
• Lead or contribute to student briefing and guidance for relevant cohorts.
• Recruit and support tutors and markers.
• Oversee project proposal review, allocation processes, marking guidance and moderation.
• Attend relevant SSC, year, assessment and examination board meetings.
• Produce reports and lead improvements arising from feedback and quality assurance processes.
