We are looking for a Mayoralty Officer to provide high-quality, comprehensive and efficient business support to the Mayor. Acting as the first point of contact for the Mayoralty, you will play a key role in ensuring the Mayor is well supported, well prepared and able to undertake a full programme of civic, community and charity engagements. This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and confident managing a dynamic workload with competing deadlines.
You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, the ability to provide a high standard of customer service, and the confidence to use your initiative and judgement to help the Mayor deliver a successful Mayoral year.
You will need experience of providing business or executive support, together with experience of planning and delivering large events, either in a professional or personal capacity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Members’ Services team on a maternity cover basis for up to 12 months. The role is available as a fixed-term contract for external applicants or as a secondment opportunity for internal employees, subject to approval from your substantive manager.
