Job summary

The Sixth Form College in Farnborough is seeking a proactive Maths Support role to coordinate and run small catch-up groups and assist students with mathematics problems. You will work within the Maths Department to provide excellent support to staff and learners in a busy sixth form environment.

Starting ASAP and part-time (24 hours per week, term time only), the role offers opportunities to contribute to high-quality teaching support and inclusive education.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with staff and students.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting mathematics students or in a tutoring/education environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and run small catch-up groups in mathematics.
  • Help individual students with their mathematics problems.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and students to support learning.

Working Pattern: 24 hours per week, term time only

Th e starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

Based in the Mathematics workshop, you will co-ordinate and run small catch up groups and help individual students with their mathematics problems. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff and students.

Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in an educational environment. This is in line with statutory guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
