Job summary

Portland Charity is seeking a confident Maths Subject Tutor for our Main Campus in Mansfield. You will deliver high-quality Maths teaching, including Functional Skills and GCSE Maths, and adapt lessons to learners' needs.

You will work with the Education Team and Progression Tutors to support study programmes and help learners achieve positive outcomes. The role requires dedication to helping young people and adults overcome barriers to learning, with enhanced DBS checks for regulated activity

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification Level 4 or equivalent or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe.
• English and Maths Level 2 or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe.
• TAQA Level 3 or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard teaching and learning in Maths, including Functional Skills and GCSE Mathematics.
• Adapt lessons and resources to meet learners' needs.
• Collaborate with Education Team and Progression Tutors to support learners' study programmes.
