Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Maths Tutor at MOD Lyneham, Wiltshire, to deliver Level 2 Maths to Army apprentices and support essential qualifications for their careers and operational readiness.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, provide coaching, and assess learners while maintaining safeguarding standards. The role is based onsite with hybrid options and typical 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (grade C or above / grade 4-9 or equivalent).
• A-Level Maths (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face Level 2 Maths courses, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, to cohorts of up to 16 learners.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to support learner progress and assessment readiness.
• Carry out invigilation, assessments, and maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body and ESFA standards.
• Collaborate with quality, compliance, and delivery teams to ensure programme standards are met.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to diverse learner needs, including SPLDs and neurodiverse requirements.
