ACS International Schools are recruiting a Student Support Maths Teacher to join our Egham campus from August 2025.

ACS International School Egham is recruiting an enthusiastic Student Support Maths Teacher to join our Upper School team (teaching grades 6-12). We are recruiting a teacher with a passion for inspiring students through a concept based, inquiry driven and student focused approach.

ACS Egham is recruiting a Student Support Maths Teacher who can work with students, supporting learning in Maths, and contributing to the broader school community, with a specific focus on SEN, EAL support, plus extension/enrichment in Maths.

At ACS Egham International School we offer the IB - an aspirational, global, and modern curriculum that inspires children to become the drivers of their own success.

We’ve been teaching the IB at ACS for over fifty years, and our experience means we know how best to teach it. We know it gets results - and that’s why we offer the IB as our sole offering, orienting the entire school around its optimal delivery. Many of our teachers are IB examiners, meaning they know exactly how to help children to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach individuals or small groups of students (grades 6-12) within or outside the classroom, adapting lessons to meet individual needs, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
  • Prepare and present lessons and resources that address the needs of students with mild to moderate learning difficulties and language acquisition challenges.
  • Provide extension and enrichment opportunities in Mathematics, supporting students who require additional challenge beyond the standard curriculum.
  • Develop and implement differentiated activities and problem-solving tasks to stretch high-achieving students and foster deeper mathematical thinking.
  • Identify students who would benefit from enrichment programs, competitions, or advanced coursework, and provide tailored guidance to support their progress
  • Utilise specialised tools and technology, including multimedia resources and digital platforms, to enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Ensure teaching practices align with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to provide equitable access to the curriculum for all students.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to Bachelors degree or international equivalent as a minimum in the relevant subject or a Bachelor of Education
  • A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/PGDE/QTS/valid Teaching Licence)
  • A minimum of two years’ post qualifying teaching experience
  • Experience of/willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English
  • Commitment to excellence in education
  • Understanding of and commitment to the Mission, Aims and Values of ACS International Schools
  • A collaborative approach to team working
  • Positive personality, with the ability to judge the appropriate balance of support and challenge that individual young people need in order to thrive.

Benefits of Teaching at ACS:

  • Recognising that time is needed to plan, collaborate and provide meaningful feedback to students, teachers at ACS international Schools teach a maximum of 21 hours per week
  • Our maximum class size is a manageable maximum of 22 with most classes being smaller than that.
  • We are a well-resourced school, enabling us to provide our students and teachers with the resources they need to learn and achieve.
  • We take the professional development of our staff seriously and provide ample opportunities and resourcing to support this.
  • Working at ACS Egham provides an excellent route into teaching the internationally recognised, International Baccalaureate programme.
  • Employment benefits include: 3 annual personal days, competitive salary, relocation allowance and visa sponsorship*, PMI + Medicash, pension scheme, income protection, life assurance, employee assistance programme, subsidised meals in the canteen, home leave allowance* and access to the gym for a small fee.

Start date: August 2025
