Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a Maths Teacher to work across Shrewsbury and surrounding areas. Whether you are an experienced Maths Teacher or an Early Career Teacher, this role offers flexible daily supply, long-term placements or permanent opportunities in supportive secondary schools.

You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 where required, creating an inclusive environment that supports SEND and other learning needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Previous experience teaching Maths within UK secondary schools
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed in Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range (KS3-4)
• Teach Maths up to GCSE level, with potential to teach A Level where required

The Role
