Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Chesterfield. You will deliver high-quality mathematics lessons and contribute to the department and school community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students and learning abilities.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Support students in developing problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and school leaders.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can inspire students, foster confidence in mathematics, and help learners achieve their full academic potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Mathematics lessons while contributing to the continued success of the department and wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience teaching GCSE Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum developments and assessment practices.
  • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
