Are you a motivated and dedicated Maths Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of learners?

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Portsmouth, Hampshire, starting in September 2025. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, and is open to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holders, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and suitably qualified overseas-trained teachers.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach across Key Stages, ensuring students are engaged and challenged appropriately
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where needed
• Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and progress
• Maintain strong classroom discipline in line with school policies
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Maths department and across the wider school community
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities for students
• Keep up to date with curriculum changes and best practices in Maths teaching

Maths Teacher Requirements:

• QTS, ECT, or overseas-qualified teacher status
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject area
• Experience working as a Maths Teacherin secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Maths
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge students of all abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
• Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
