Job summary

Education Personnel are partnering with a progressive Nottingham secondary school to recruit a Maths Teacher for immediate or January 2027 starts. The role covers KS3/KS4 and potentially KS5 for experienced candidates, with a focus on innovative maths teaching methods and STEM initiatives.

Ideal candidates will hold QTS, have at least 6 months of UK secondary teaching experience, and demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• QTS required with eligibility to teach in a UK secondary school.
• Minimum 6 months' teaching experience in a UK secondary school.
• Passionate about Mathematics education and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Maths curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham.
• Plan, prepare, and assess Maths lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions for numeracy and exam preparation.
• Contribute to Maths department improvement planning.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.

Location: Nottingham

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Start Date: Immediate / January 2027

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Qualification: QTS required
