Job summary

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated English Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled English educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially English Language / Literature KS5.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• At least 6 months of classroom English teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Passionate about English education and student achievement.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 English curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham.
• Plan, prepare, and assess English Language and Literature lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions for GCSE preparation.
• Contribute to English department improvement planning.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
