Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Maths Teacher in Upminster to join our pool of supply teachers for local secondary schools. You will deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3/KS4 and help students build numeracy confidence.

The role requires QTS or QTLS, DBS on update service, and the right to work in the UK. You will work within Randstad's strong network to place you in suitable schools and support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is essential.
• 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent references.
• DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain).

£150 - £200 a day

Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging and creative Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4


• Create a stimulating learning environment that makes complex concepts accessible


• Assess student progress, track attainment, and provide constructive feedback


• Ability to communicate with and encourage children of all learning abilities, including GCSE preparation groups


• Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department to implement effective teaching strategies


• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress


• Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential


• 2 years of employment references / relevant teaching experience


• An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)


• Right to work in the UK - Essential (sponsorship is not available with this role)


• Strong knowledge of the UK Secondary Maths curriculum


• Being passionate about teaching and numeracy development
