Job summary

Tradewind Education is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to provide full-time cover at a welcoming secondary school in Southport for approximately two weeks, while a member of staff is away on jury service.

This is an ideal short-term role for an experienced teacher, ECT or qualified teacher with the ability to start immediately and maintain continuity of learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school.
• Able to start immediately and cover short-term absence.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Follow existing schemes of work and lesson plans where provided.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
• Ensure continuity of learning throughout the short-term absence.
