Maths Teacher – 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Are you an engaging and motivational Maths teacher who thrives on helping students achieve their full potential? We are seeking a passionate and committed professional to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Guildford on a one-year fixed-term contract.

The Role

You will teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and secure strong progress for all learners. You’ll work closely with the Faculty Lead and a dedicated team to promote excellent outcomes for students aged 11–16.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback
• Use data effectively to personalise learning and intervene to support progress
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment
• Contribute to department and whole-school initiatives

We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to raising attainment and promoting a growth mindset
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (preferred but not essential for ECTs)
