Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher for a Pupil Referral Unit in Lewisham.

You will deliver engaging maths lessons to students aged 11–16, differentiate to meet a range of abilities including SEMH and SEND, and build positive relationships to support engagement and achievement.

A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required; you should be available to start at short notice, and DBS checks and safeguarding compliance apply.

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Maths Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit in Lewisham. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 11-16 who require additional support to engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons that inspire students to develop confidence in maths and reach their full potential. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally.

What you’ll be doing as a Maths Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students aged 11-16.
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs, including SEMH and SEND requirements.
• Build positive relationships that promote engagement, attendance and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external agencies to support student outcomes.
