Job summary

Harris Lee is seeking a Maths Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to adult learners at a Great Yarmouth college.

The role requires planning and delivering sessions, assessing learner progress, and supporting learners to build confidence and achieve qualifications. A teaching qualification is desirable, and an enhanced DBS check is required or supported to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Experience teaching or engaging adult learners is highly desirable.
• Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, with certificated evidence.
• Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
• A recognised teaching qualification is desirable; candidates without one will be supported to achieve it within three years.

Job description

Job Title: Maths Lecturer - GCSE & Functional Skills

Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE), Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,112 - £41,600 per year full-time equivalent (approximately £17,556 - £20,800 actual for 18.5 hours), depending on qualifications and experience

Contract: Part-time, Permanent
