Job summary

Frome Community College seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Maths) to support numeracy across the Maths Department. The role is a temporary maternity cover, with the successful candidate contributing to an inclusive learning environment and helping students access the curriculum.

Working hours are 8:30am–3:15pm, Monday to Friday, during term time and inset days. The college offers a supportive induction, CPD opportunities, and on-site facilities including free parking.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with young people.
• Able to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
• Clear instructions and coaching to support access to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide numeracy support within the Maths Department to help students access learning.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm during term time and inset days.
• Support a maternity cover with a calm, welcoming approach and professionalism.
