Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified Mathematics Supply Teacher (Flexible/General Cover) to cover Torbay and surrounding areas, with a September 2026 start. You will deliver Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 and provide general subject cover on short notice, in a role that offers scheduling autonomy through our booking portal.

The role requires QTS or equivalent (ECTs welcome), strong mathematics knowledge, DBS Update Service, and legal right to work in the UK, with competitive daily

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• High level of adaptability to manage diverse classroom settings within Torbay and the surrounding areas.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete this process.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set Mathematics lessons effectively across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Provide comprehensive general cover for various secondary subjects on short-notice or planned bases.
• Maintain a structured, professional, and positive classroom environment in accordance with school policies.
• Oversee the collection of completed work upon session conclusion; note that no marking or long‑term tracking is required.
