Job summary

Randstad Education in Torbay is seeking a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher for day-to-day supply and long-term posts across Torbay and surrounding South Devon. Start September 2026, with flexible contracts and a competitive daily pay scale.

Role includes teaching KS3/KS4 Maths, covering other subjects as needed, and following prepared lesson plans while applying strong classroom management to maintain a productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the UK Secondary Maths curriculum.
• Flexibility to undertake general supply cover as required.
• Strong classroom management skills with a proactive approach.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Provide adaptable General Cover across other secondary subjects, ensuring a productive and safe learning environment.
• Follow pre-set lesson plans effectively while bringing your own classroom management expertise.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation.
