Job summary
Ascent College – Remarkable Autism is seeking a skilled Class Teacher with Mathematics Specialism to deliver Maths at GCSE and Functional Skills levels for post-16 learners. Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Experience teaching Maths to GCSE/Functional Skills levels.
- Experience in SEN or post-16 education desirable.
- Ability to adapt teaching to autistic learners.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised Maths learning tailored to individual pathways.
- Plan and prepare GCSE Mathematics delivery from September 2027.
- Plan and deliver the Functional Skills Mathematics curriculum.
- Teach small groups (typically 6–10 students).
- Support students to develop life skills, independence and employability.
- Collaborate with Student Learning Mentors and specialist teams.
