Job summary

Archbishop Blanch Church of England High School in Liverpool is seeking a highly capable Second in Mathematics to join our thriving Mathematics Department. You will work closely with the Head of Mathematics to lead teaching and learning, drive standards, and shape an ambitious curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will monitor progress, develop enrichment opportunities, and mentor staff while upholding the school’s Christian ethos and contributing to a collaborative Trust network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Mathematics Department and lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum for a designated Key Stage.
• Monitor student progress and attainment, implementing effective intervention strategies where required and support staff development through coaching, mentoring and collaborative planning.

Working alongside the Head of Mathematics, you will play a key role in leading teaching and learning, driving standards and achievement, and developing an engaging and ambitious curriculum. Is an outstanding practitioner with a proven record of success in teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 and has high expectations of achievement, behaviour and engagement. The right candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for improving outcomes for all learners, is committed to professional development, collaboration and sharing best practice and supports and promotes the Christian ethos and values of the school.

As Second in Mathematics, you will:
