Job summary

Knowsley Community College invites applications for a permanent Lecturer in Maths to join the teams at St Helens College and Knowsley Community College. The post involves delivering high-quality maths education, supporting learners and carrying out assessment across the courses you teach.

You will co-ordinate sessions, monitor progress and contribute to curriculum development. The appointment is permanent, full-time, and requires an appropriate teaching qualification with DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Have experience of teaching and motivating FE students.
• Hold a relevant degree; a higher degree is desirable.
• Have a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent teaching qualification, or be willing to achieve this qualification within a set period upon appointment
• Have GCSE Maths and English (A*-C)
• Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination and delivery of teaching / training / assessment on the courses that you teach.
• Be accountable to the HOS & DHOS for the academic and professional standards, performance and outcomes of the HE/FE/Work-based courses on which you teach.
