Job Title: Maths Lead
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday – Friday | Monday 8am - 4pm & Tuesday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

This is more than a teaching role. You’ll shape the curriculum, inspire colleagues and create engaging learning experiences that build confidence, resilience and achievement for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
As a Maths Lead, you’ll combine excellent classroom practice with subject leadership, working alongside senior leaders and colleagues to raise standards, develop new approaches and ensure every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

We're looking for someone who is:
Glebedale School is a special needs school which provides provision for ages 7 years and upwards. We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH pupils, and our curriculum has a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development. Our school aims to help pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally to enable them to become capable future citizens.
We provide education to 40 pupils from the Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire areas. At our last Ofsted in July 2025, we were rated "Good".
We place pupils and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
