Job summary

Keighley College is seeking a Maths Course Leader to lead and develop mathematics across Study Programmes from Entry Level to GCSE. You will influence curriculum planning, teaching quality and progression for a diverse learner group.

You will monitor progress, support colleagues and ensure high standards of teaching and learning, while engaging learners and partners to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification and Mathematics qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths across Entry Level to GCSE.
• Strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
• Experience supporting learners with varying abilities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of Maths across Study Programmes, from Entry Level through to GCSE.
• Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons meeting learners with different starting points.
• Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate support and interventions.
• Develop curriculum planning, assessment and exam preparation across maths provision.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Support and develop colleagues through coaching, mentoring and teamwork.
• Analyse achievement data to identify areas for improvement and take action.
• Ensure teaching and assessment meet college policies and awarding body requirements.
• Work with curriculum managers and support teams to remove barriers to learning.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement in Study Programmes.
• Promote a positive culture where maths is valued for future progression.
