Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a qualified Mathematics Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in an Oldham secondary school from September 2026. You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, including preparing pupils for GCSE Mathematics, following the national curriculum and safeguarding policies.

The role suits experienced teachers and ECTs with QTS or equivalent; White Rose Maths experience is desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Mathematics TeacherOldham

£170–£235 per day

Full-time | Long-term contract | September 2026

Smile Education is recruiting a qualified Mathematics Teacher for a full-time, long-term position within an Oldham secondary school from September 2026. You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, including preparing pupils for GCSE Mathematics. The opportunity is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs, although QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification is essential. The school offers a supportive, values-led environment with high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil progress. This is an opportunity to join an established Maths department and contribute to a positive and ambitious school community.

The role
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teach in line with the national curriculum.

Essential requirements
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
  • For experienced teachers, have completed at least one full academic year in a long-term or permanent Mathematics teaching role within a UK secondary school.
  • Have experience usingWhite Rose Mathsacross KS3 and KS4 (desirable)QTS is essential.
  • Applications from candidates without QTS will not be considered.
Pay and benefits
  • £170–£235 per day, dependent on experience, pay scale and responsibilities.
  • Full-time, long-term role from September 2026.
