Job summary

Elementa Wales is seeking a qualified Maths teacher to deliver engaging secondary maths lessons across Cardiff schools. This contract/long-term supply role offers flexibility with full-time hours, and part-time considered, with an ASAP start.

You will plan and adapt lessons to meet diverse abilities, assess progress, and work with school staff to support pupil achievement. A recognised teaching qualification (QTS) and Maths experience are required; pay is to scale (MPS/UPS) depending on

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Elementa Wales is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to work with schools across the Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher looking to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development while enjoying flexible teaching opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons, helping pupils develop their confidence and understanding of the subject, and ensuring they receive high-quality teaching and support.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A positive, flexible and professional approach.

Desirable

• Experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, including supporting pupils towards GCSE examinations (beneficial but not essential).
