Job summary

Mairehau High School in Canterbury, NZ, invites applications for a certificated teacher of mathematics (Secondary Years 7–15 / wharekura).

You will be NZ registered, capable of teaching mathematics to NCEA senior levels, and able to collaborate with staff and ākonga. Commitment to PB4L/restorative practice and participation in co-curricular life is required. The position commences Term 1, 2027.

Mairehau High School is an innovative and whānau orientated school. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and passionate teacher of mathematics.

Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and ākonga across the school. They must be a NZ registered teacher andwill be expected to participate and contribute to the school's vision. Commitment to our school's unique character and co-curricular life is also a condition of employment. Familiarity with the NZ Curriculum and the ability to teach mathematics to NCEA senior levels is a requirement.
