Qualifications

• Excellent academic background in mathematics with a 1st or 2.1 STEM degree from a very highly ranked university (Russell Group or equivalent), and a relevant MSc or PhD in combinatorics, optimisation, or similar subject.
• Strong coding skills in Java, modern OO C++, or C#, plus solid software engineering practices – version control and code reviews; commercial experience valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly mathematical Java code to implement algorithms modelling and optimising complex industrial processes and logistics.
• Simulate factors like resource dependencies and scheduling interactions to enable savings in time and costs for clients.
