Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified Mathematics teacher for flexible/General Cover in the Okehampton area. The role involves delivering maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 and providing general cover for other subjects on short-notice or planned bases.

Ideal candidates will hold QTS or equivalent, possess DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain), and have the legal right to work in the UK. Excellent scheduling flexibility and weekly payment are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Strong, demonstrated knowledge of the Secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• High level of adaptability to manage diverse classroom settings within the Okehampton area.
• Possession of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete this process.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set Mathematics lessons effectively across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Provide comprehensive general cover for various secondary subjects on short-notice or planned bases.
• Maintain a structured, professional, and positive classroom environment in accordance with school policies.
• Oversee the collection of completed work upon session conclusion; note that no marking or long-term tracking is required.
