Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher for Okehampton and West Devon. The role covers day-to-day supply and longer-term contracts, starting September 2026, with a flexible arrangement to suit the school calendar.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons to KS3/KS4, support general cover across subjects, and adapt to pre-set plans while maintaining strong classroom management and pupil engagement. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the UK Secondary Maths curriculum.
• Willingness to undertake general supply cover as required.
• Strong classroom management skills with a proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Provide adaptable General Cover across other secondary subjects.
• Follow pre-set lesson plans effectively while bringing classroom management expertise.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation.
