Job summary

Tameside Hospital is seeking a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker to join the Willow Team on a maternity cover contract to August 2027. You will support pregnancy and postnatal care for individuals with complex social factors, under supervision of Midwives and the multidisciplinary team.

You will provide admin support, help maintain a safe environment, and carry out basic care tasks and delegated clinical procedures, across hospital and community settings when required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maternity Support Worker or equivalent
• Good safeguarding and confidentiality understanding
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the midwife across hospital, community, or other settings to provide person-centred care during pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey
• Provide administrative support, prepare and maintain a safe environment, and implement basic care duties
• Carry out delegated clinical procedures under supervision of the Midwives and Multidisciplinary Team
