Job summary

Ingfield Manor School in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Night Support Worker to join our residential team. The role covers evening and night hours within a term-time-only schedule, including sleep-in duties in the residential area.

You will work 19:00–07:30 across 39 weeks, supporting residents with routines, ensuring safety, and completing detailed night logs before handover at 7:00am. A Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is required or you must be willing to

Qualifications

• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience in residential or night-time care settings is advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with evening and night-time routines and prepare for bed.
• Complete night logs and wellbeing records, and hand over to day staff at 7:00am.
• Support and monitor residents during sleeping hours and assist waking routines.
• Carry out routine laundry, hygiene tasks, and light domestic duties.
• Participate in fire evacuation drills and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment.
