Job summary

Heathbridge Practice invites applications for a salaried locum GP to cover a maternity post for six months from December 2026. The role primarily involves 15-minute face-to-face appointments, with triage by telephone and online channels, plus on-call rotations.

The team includes pharmacists, physiotherapists and a social prescriber, and supports dermatology, diabetes, paediatrics and maternity care. GMC registration with licence to practise and MRCGP or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• MRCGP or equivalent.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 15-minute face-to-face GP appointments.
• Take part in the telephone and online triage rota.
• Cover the on-call rota.
• Support the full range of primary care services, including minor surgery and joint injections.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team on site.
• Carry out admin work, with letters largely handled by a coding team.
