Job summary

Bridge of Allan Health Centre in Stirling is seeking a maternity locum for 5 sessions per week on a 12-month fixed term basis starting January 2027. The post supports 7100 patients with a team of GP Partners, ANP, Practice Nurse, HCA and admins, and training on Vision will be provided.

Expectations include 15-minute appointments, approx. 22–24 patients daily, and on-call rotation with a supportive admin team. Competitive pay rates and strong local transport links are highlighted.

Qualifications

• GP locum role requiring registration with GMC or equivalent.
• 15 minute appointment slots and on-call rotation included.
• Minimum 2 GPs in daily coverage.

Responsibilities

• Cover for the practice on a 12 month fixed term basis.
• Deliver maternity locum cover across 5 sessions.
• Coordinate with GP Partners, ANP, Practice Nurse, HCA and admin team.

5 session Maternity Locum from January 2027

Located in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Bridge of Allan, we have an opportunity for a Locum to cover for us on a 12 month fixed term basis for 5 sessions from January 2027.

Our practice looks after over 7100 patients. We currently have 5 GP Partners, 1 ANP, Practice Nurse, HCA, supportive administration team, deputy manager & practice manager. We are a training practice with GPST’s and medical students. We pride ourselves on being a close, enthusiastic and supportive team delivering the best of care for our patients. The practice transitioned to Vision in April 2026 and is now fully established on the system. Applicants with no previous Vision experience needn't worry, as full training and support will be provided.

We are an efficient and well‑staffed practice, and feel we have an excellent balance between patient contacts, social interactions and administration time. Here’s a snapshot of what would be expected;

• Coffee 10:30 daily
• Approx. 22-24 patients daily (within BMA guidance)
