Job summary

New Park Medical Practice in Dunfermline is seeking a maternity locum GP partner for 12 months starting January 2027. The role is 4 sessions per week (full-day Thursday and Friday) with optional extra sessions elsewhere.

You will join a well-established team in a busy practice with EMIS/Docman and on-site MDT support. Rotational on-call duties pro-rata, occasional home visits, and a supportive admin team are on offer.

Qualifications

• GP locum cover for 12-month maternity leave.
• 4 sessions per week (full-day Thursday and Friday).
• Opportunity for an additional session elsewhere if desired.
• EMIS/Docman as clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• 4 x 15-minute face-to-face consultations daily.
• 2 x telephone consultations daily.
• 2 x additional review appointments (bookable by you).
• Rotational on-call duty sessions allocated pro-rata.
• Infrequent home visits allocated to the patient’s assigned GP.

12-MONTH MATERNITY COVER FOR 4 SESSION GP PARTNER AT NEW PARK MEDICAL PRACTICE

Our established GP surgery in Dunfermline is seeking maternity locum cover starting January 2027. This would be for 4 sessions (full-day Thursday and Friday) with the option of an additional session elsewhere in the week if desired.

Our surgeries consist of:

8 x 15-minute face-to-face consultations

2 x telephone consultations

2 x additional review appointments which are bookable by you only

Rotational on-call duty doctor sessions which are allocated pro-rata

Infrequent home visits which are allocated to patient's assigned GP

Clinical systems: EMIS/Docman

You will be supported by

2 full-time and 8 part-time GP partners

ANPs providing triage and minor ailments clinics

An extensive MDT including physiotherapist, practice pharmacy team, specialist nurse-led chronic disease clinics, CTAC, health visiting and district nursing team on site

Experienced and dedicated administrative and management team

We are a well-established training practice with 2 GPST and 1 FY2 doctor.
