Job summary

Bydand Medical Group in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, is seeking a GP Locum for maternity cover from February/March 2027. The post offers a stable, friendly practice with 6 sessions per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and on-call support in a rural setting, including a branch in Rhynie.

The team comprises 6 GP partners, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated nursing/administrative staff, with a busy Minor Injuries service and a 20-bed community hospital nearby.

Qualifications

Maternity cover locum GP with current registration.
Experience in rural/general practice preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Combination of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
On-call sessions including covering attached MIU.
Occasional home visits.

Sessions: 6 per week
Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Period of locum cover: 6 months

Based in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, with a branch surgery in Rhynie
