Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a maternity-cover contract in Barnsley, commencing in November. The role centers on owning the month-end process and delivering meaningful management information within the finance team.

Candidates may be PQ, QBE, or fully qualified, provided they have hands-on experience producing management accounts and supporting stakeholders with robust financial insights.

Qualifications

• Experience producing monthly management accounts.
• Ability to post month-end journals and complete month-end processes.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews.
• Variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide financial analysis and management information to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
• Preparing and posting month-end journals and completing month-end processes.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews.
• Variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting process.
• Providing financial analysis and management information to key stakeholders.
• Monitoring costs and investigating variances.
• Assisting with cash flow and financial reporting.
• Supporting year-end processes and external audit.
