Job summary

Alderman’s Green Primary School invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to join our caring team. You will support pupils in their learning with enthusiasm and dedication, contributing to a nurturing classroom where every child can thrive.

We value inclusive education and provide full training; a Teaching Assistant qualification or SEND experience is advantageous, including knowledge of SEMH, Autism or related needs.

Qualifications

• Ideally, applicants will hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and/or have experience working with children with additional needs.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting children with SEMH needs, Autism, or Communication and Interaction difficulties would be advantageous.
• Full training and support will be provided.

Salary: £26,016 FTE, £22,574 pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week

Weeks: 39 weeks per year

Start Date: 04th January 2027 - 17th December 2027 (Approx date, end date might change)

Ideally, applicants will hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and/or have experience working with children with additional needs. Knowledge or experience of supporting children with SEMH needs, Autism, or Communication and Interaction difficulties would be advantageous.

However, we would also welcome applications from individuals with limited experience who are enthusiastic about working in a school environment and supporting children who require additional support. Full training and support will be provided.
