Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in the United Kingdom is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator for a maternity cover role. You will bring energy, creativity, and care to a thriving nursery team, supporting young children with engaging activities and a safe, nurturing environment.

This 30-40 hour-per-week position offers development opportunities within our family-run group, with strong emphasis on safeguarding, EYFS practice, and working closely with parents to support each child's learning journey.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator with EYFS knowledge.
• Must have DBS check and right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the childcare team to provide excellent service for children and families.
• Ensure the environment is safe, clean and secure in line with safeguarding policies.
• Be a positive role model and demonstrate best practices to colleagues and children.
• Welcome and brief parents at the end of the day with clear handovers.
• Plan and deliver activities, both indoors and outdoors, aligned with children's needs.
• Attend training sessions, including some outside regular hours.
• Support in maintaining engaging displays and a welcoming nursery space.
• Participate in staff meetings, events, and community activities.
