Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Maternity Care Assistant to support midwives across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. The post is rotational and training will be provided in the clinical settings you work in.

You will develop competencies through the Maternity Support Worker framework, contribute to safe, woman-centred care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Candidate will undertake defined competencies in maternity care.
• Training provided for clinical settings (antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal).
• Under supervision of a midwife, provide personal care.
• Commitment to NHS People Promise and flexible working.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with women and families.
• Provide woman-centred care and report concerns promptly to a registered practitioner.
