Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Trainee Laboratory Technician to support our Materials Testing team. You’ll work on concrete, soils, aggregates and bituminous mixtures, with full training provided and opportunities to grow within the SOCOTEC network.

The role offers flexible local, national, or global projects with both office-based and hybrid working options, and a strong emphasis on health and safety in a busy laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of testing construction materials is desirable but not required for this trainee position.
• Health & safety awareness is essential.
• Willingness to learn and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Testing of construction materials
• Completion of test sheets, including all calculations
• Production of reports in line with QA systems
