Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a Technician for the East Kilbride Concrete Plant, Glasgow. You will perform laboratory and field testing of aggregates, concrete, asphalt and soils to ensure materials meet specifications. This hands-on role supports QA/QC and environmental safety, with training provided where needed.

The successful candidate will work in a permanent, full-time capacity, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and adherence to procedures in a dynamic construction materials environment.

Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and English (minimum).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
Willingness to work safely on site and follow procedures.
UK driving licence required for site work.

Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory and field testing on materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt).
Ensure testing aligns with industry standards and project specs.
Prepare test samples and assess strength, composition, durability, and performance.
Record and report results accurately and timely.
