Job summary

Gap Personnel Limited in Bristol is seeking a Materials (Stock) Controller. You will be responsible for controlling stock, ensuring accuracy and traceability of materials, including machined components, purchased parts and raw materials.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm, with a temp-to-perm contract and an hourly rate of £13.00. The role involves liaising with other departments, processing bookings, and maintaining departmental processes and strategy with a focus on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and maintain focus.
• Health and Safety conscious and attentive.
• Interest in helping to develop the departmental processes and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Counting, booking, and processing of machined components, purchased parts/raw materials.
• Counting, booking, and processing of outbound material for ‘Sub-Con’ operations.
• Allocation, control, issue and marshalling of materials between different work locations.
• Liaising with all departments when required. If, when discrepancies are found.
• Ability to report discrepancies, missing paperwork directly to suppliers.
